From the Indeed.com blog:
In October, we launched in three more countries: France, Germany and Spain. Indeed’s comprehensive search engine for jobs includes millions of jobs from job boards and company career sites in each of these countries.
Since Indeed.com’s launch four years ago in November 2004, we have grown to include jobs from more than ten thousand websites in seven countries and four languages. More job searches are now performed on Indeed.com than on any other website (comScore Media Metrix, Oct 2008).
Blog posts are generally not very newsworthy, but this one certainly is. It underscores the central problem faced by most traditional job boards. If you charge a posting fee, it becomes nearly impossible to have the most jobs of any specific type. If you don't have the most jobs, what do you have?
This is why I have been fascinated by the vertical job search and free job posting models for a long time!

If you throw Google into the mix.
**es** You have a very technical mind Willy! I have edited for you... never occurred to me that website might conclude Google.
I have been using jobserf.com. This is amazing and frees up your time so you can focus on networking and investigating opportunities. Basically for a nominal fee, JobSerf will search the web for positions as based upon your criteria and apply on your behalf submit. Then you get a daily recap of the activity. I have found this to be extremely helpful so you can research and also try to network into the company.
**es** thanks for illustrating my point Rob!
